Fantastic $30 Cartography Software Bundle Is a Online Gaming Game Master's Fantasy

After a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by a specialized software company throughout their history, the complete package carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The big draw is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

A regional fantasy map generated in Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

Complete Collection

Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle includes all the following:

  • Fractal Terrains 3+
  • Dungeon Creation Tool
  • Urban Planning Software
  • Cosmic Mapping System
  • Viewpoint Enhancement
  • Scene Builder
  • Character Artist 3
  • Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans
  • Symbol Set 3: Modern
  • Schley Dungeon Collection
  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 2
  • Religious Structure Maps
  • Historical War Maps
  • World Builder’s Compendium
  • Annual Volumes 1-17
  • Permanent CC3+ Access
  • 3D City Symbols
  • Comprehensive Mapping Guide
  • Fantasy Landscape Symbols
  • Monster Token Set 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Metropolitan Source Maps

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, but you can also select any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. Additionally available is an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, allowing you to adjust the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
