In a bizarre collaboration that defies usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden rituals and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden group.

The adventure concentrates on "strange trials and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an unique katana in addition to multiple objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
